A 1970 Richard Harrison designed Condominium at Seven Lakes

The clients were moving from a William Krisel designed Alexander built home in Vista Las Palmas. They were interested in Seven Lakes for its community and the amenities, its low density house-like condominiums, and the views. I found a 1970 3 bedroom 3 bathroom unit that had been badly renovated a few decades ago, and was in need of sensitive restoration and updating. They purchased it and then commissioned a whole house renovation design, to house their beloved art and furnishings. Abet Laminati and Milk Oak custom cabinetry was used in the kitchen and primary bathroom and bedroom. Flush doors and baseboards met the client’s minimalist preference for such items to recede into the architecture. The front door hardware was restored from the original, on new doors painted Seven Lakes yellow. The private courtyard was furnished with built in lounges, floating above recessed illuminated bases, integrated with a planter with fountain and a matching custom BBQ grill center.
